Strict Crackdown on Traffic Violations in Dabwali, 1,033 Challans Issued in 7 Days

Dabwali News: The Dabwali Traffic Police conducted a special drive last week against motorists who disregarded traffic regulations. Strict action was taken against the violators. Under the directives of SP Dabwali, Jasleen Kaur, the campaign resulted in the issuance of challans (fines) to motorists involved in overspeeding, drunk driving, triple riding, and driving in the wrong direction.

During the operation, conducted under the leadership of Traffic In-charge Inspector Bijender Singh, action was taken against a total of 1,033 motorists. This figure includes 551 motorists driving without High Security Registration Plates (HSRP), 110 without any number plates, 106 for overspeeding, 49 for triple riding, 41 for driving in the wrong direction, 32 for improper lane changing, 15 for installing unauthorized lights, and 8 for driving under the influence of alcohol. Additionally, action was taken against 121 motorists who obstructed traffic by parking heavy vehicles on the Bharatmala Road and National Highways.

Meanwhile, a motorist who had installed a "firecracker" silencer on a Bullet motorcycle was compelled to remove the modified exhaust system. The police emphasized that the disregard for traffic rules is a major contributing factor to road accidents; consequently, the campaign against rule violators will continue in the future.
