Wheat Procurement Record in Dabwali: Arrivals Up 21% And 4.18 Lakh Quintals More Procured

Dabwali News: The 2026 wheat procurement season at the Market Committee Dabwali has gone down in history, distinguished by record-breaking procurement volumes and exceptionally organized management. Compared to the previous year, a 21 percent increase in procurement has been recorded. This has resulted in benefits for farmers, laborers, and Arhtiyas (commission agents), while also generating higher fee revenue for the Market Committee. Specifically, an additional 418,220 quintals of wheat were procured this season.

Wheat procurement operations in the mandis (grain markets) have now concluded, and the processes of weighing and lifting (transportation) are currently underway. For the first time in Haryana, a special team comprising 105 staff members was deployed under the jurisdiction of a single Market Committee. The Chairman successfully secured these additional resources and arrangements through the direct intervention of Chief Minister Nayab Saini and the Agriculture Minister. Consequently, a procurement volume exceeding that of the previous year by 418,220 quintals was achieved. This has led to a significant surge in market fee revenue in addition to the benefits amounting to crores of rupees accrued through the Minimum Support Price (MSP) mechanism.

By strategically deploying staff across the main mandi and various rural procurement centers, each location was assigned a team of at least four employees operating under the supervision of a designated supervisor. Furthermore, every procurement center was equipped with a GPS-enabled gate-pass system, biometric machines, and CCTV cameras, ensuring that the entire procurement process remained both transparent and systematic.

the Chairman's initial efforts, permission was secured to establish additional procurement sites within the city, where 273,696 quintals of wheat were procured. This initiative effectively alleviated the pressure on the main grain market, providing much-needed relief to farmers, Arhtiyas, and laborers. Moreover, the area surrounding the mandi remained free from traffic congestion.
